While logging to the game today, we were greeted with an unexpected message. According to this new message, there will be a special announcement on August 29th at 22:00GMT. Now we don’t really know what that special announcement could be. A DLC perhaps? A massive update? Or an announcement of a HD remake for the first Deus Ex – we really doubt it but who knows. You can find a screengrab of the menu that shows the upcoming announcement after the jump. Continue reading Deus Ex: Human Revolution – Special Announcement Coming On August 29th→
To celebrate the launch of critically acclaimed video game Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Square Enix has commissioned filmmaker Rob Spence, who goes by the pseudonym EYEBORG to investigate prosthetics, cybernetics and human augmentation. As a real life cyborg, having replaced his eye with a wireless camera, Spence is in a unique position to comment on how close we are to the cybernetic future presented to us in Deus Ex: Human Revolution. Square Enix has just released a new update for Deus Ex: Human Revolution. No, this is not that hotfix that was issued two days ago. Wow. Now this is shocking to say the least. Yesterday it was confirmed that Gamestop was opening Deus Ex: Human Revolution’s PC cases to remove the free OnLive pass that was included. Obviously, Gamestop didn’t want to promote their competition but what right did they have to actually open the cases and then sell them as brand new ones? None to be honest. According to the game’s Steam page, an issue was found that caused some users to be unable to start the game on specific machines. Specifically, the presence of older ATI/AMD drivers, also on machines with NVidia hardware, would cause the game to crash on startup. This patch is a hot-fix for that particular issue. On top of this, it also increases the number of save-slots from 20, like on the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions, to 99. As with most patches, it will be auto-downloaded next time you start the Steam client. Continue reading Deus Ex: Human Revolution Hotfix Released; Easter egg at the game’s end credits→

You’ve seen in the past posts about major PC leaks but we all know that leaks are more often on consoles and here comes a major leak for a highly anticipated game.
