Blizzard has released a new patch for its hack n slash aRPG, Diablo III. This patch will update your game’s version to 1.0.7 and introduces dueling. Players will now be able to duel one another in a new zone designed specifically for this style of combat. This zone can be accessed by speaking with Nek the Brawler located at the inn in New Tristram, and supports 2 to 4 players in a Free-For-All format. Blizzard has confirmed – during an Activision earning call – that Diablo III will get a new expansion pack. Although there is no ETA yet, Blizzard has already plans for the expansion and wants to polish it before releasing it. Classic Blizzard. Blizzard has revealed the changelog for Diablo III’s latest update that will go live tomorrow. Naturally, players won’t be prompted to download patch 1.0.4 until the patch is live in their home region. If you are logging in from a European or Asian client, you will need to wait for this patch to release in that region before it can be installed. Additionally, if your home region is the Americas, you will be unable to log into Europe or Asia using Global Play after patch 1.0.4 is live until those regions have also patched. Activision has announced its financial results for the second quarter of 2012. According to the reports, Diablo III has managed to sell 8.8 million copies for the six months of its release and more than 10 million players have entered the world of Sanctuary. On the other hand, World of Warcraft’s subscribers number has dropped from 10.2 million to 9.1 million. An impressive number, nonetheless, but this drop is definitely something that worries both Blizzard and Activision. Perhaps the upcoming release of Mists of Pandaria will boost the game’s numbers. Blizzard has rolled out a hotfix for the Immortal Wizard Exploit that was unveiled yesterday. After all, it was to be expected that the company would act quickly on this matter. According to Blizzard’s Xodiah, the company will continue to carefully monitor this issue and welcome anyone with information about bugs or hacks to submit a detailed report to its Hacks Team. So you thought that Diablo III’s Inferno difficulty is hard? Well, time to show these demos who the boss really is. Diablo III players have discovered an exploit that makes the Wizard characters immortals. All players will have to do is Select Teleport – Fracture (rune), Select Archon – Arcane Destruction (rune), Hover their mouse over their character and Press Teleport and quickly after press Archon. Blizzard has revealed the full release notes for Diablo III’s highly Update 1.0.3. Be warned that the changelist is huge, so take a deep breath before hitting the ‘continue reading’ button. The update will be made available today in America and tomorrow in Europe. As always, the servers will be taken offline before the update goes live and European players will be unable to log into the Americas or Asia using Global Play after patch 1.0.3 is live until those regions have also patched. Blizzard Entertainment announced today that as of the first 24 hours of Diablo III’s release, more than 3.5 million copies had been sold, setting the new all-time record for fastest-selling PC game.
