Battlefield 4 – New Gameplay Footage Emerges, Showcasing A Brand New Map

Our reader ‘Ghost Rider LSOV’ has shared with us a new video, showcasing the spectacular Flood Zone map of Battlefield 4 Defuse Mode. This map was showcased in one of EA’s videos, however it’s the first time we get to see this map being played. Battlefield 4 is currently planned for release next week, and we can’t wait to see how the final build of this shooter will perform on the PC platform. Enjoy! Yesterday, Activision officially released the launch trailer of Call of Duty: Ghosts. So guess what Electronic Arts decided to do. That’s right. The big publisher has unveiled the single player story trailer of Battlefield 4 in order to steal COD’s thunder. Okay okay, Activision tried to steal BF4’s thunder in the first place by releasing Ghosts’ launch trailer almost two weeks prior to its official release, but let’s not focus on that. YouTube’s “NFO HUMP” channel has posted an amazing fan-made trailer for DICE’s upcoming shooter, Battlefield 4, showcasing the chaos involved during the war on the Shanghai map. A couple of days ago, Activision released a number of live action trailers for Call of Duty: Ghosts. Those trailers were nothing great, therefore we decided to simply skip them. However this COD: Ghosts parody trailer for BF4 – based on those trailers – looks way better than the official ones. I mean, it’s really ironic that these live action trailers are more suitable for DICE’s title than Infinity Ward’s shooter. Kudos to our reader ‘Ghost Rider LSOV’ for sharing it. Enjoy! DICE Releases Battlefield 4 Open Beta Feedback Changelog

Battlefield 4’s open beta phase is over and DICE felt the need to thank all those who participated in it. In addition, the team revealed the changelog for this open beta test that can be viewed below. Regarding performance, DICE claimed that it is using ‘the information we received to optimize the performance for the launch of the game.’ Moreover, the final build should run better as there was a debugger running behind the game’s open beta client. Battlefield 4 – Running At 4K (4096×2160) On Four Titans

Our reader ‘MahaVakyas’ has shared with us an interesting video, showcasing what Battlefield 4 looks like at 4K. Captured by YouTube’s member ‘Thirty IR’, this video shows Battlefield running at a really high resolution (running at 4800×2560 and being downscaled to 4096×2160) with all its bells and whistles enabled on four Nvidia Titan cards. According to Thirty IR, all settings were maxed out – including Anti-Aliasing (4x MSAA) – and VRAM usage was around 5.1GB. Enjoy! Battlefield 4 Beta Bug Turns ‘Siege of Shanghai’ Into An Underwater City

Our reader ‘Ghost Rider LSOV’ shared with us a hilarious bug from Battlefield 4’s beta that turned the Siege of Shanghai map into an underwater city. According to ‘EmotionaltroutHD’ who captured it, this bug started at checkpoint A when walking downstairs. The player could not shoot and the bug continued even after being killed and re-spawned. Obviously DICE will sort it out, though it will be a great easter egg to turn this map into an underwater city, don’t you think? Battlefield 4 – Update #2 Now Available, Addresses PC Performance On Windows 7

DICE has released a new update for the PC Open Beta of Battlefield 4, that aims to address the performance issues that most gamers were experiencing on Windows 7. According to DICE’s Johan Andersson, the people that had issues were running Win7 & quad & six cores without HT primarily. In short, if you’re using that particular OS, you should now be enjoying a better gaming experience after applying the patch.
