Our reader ‘Umair Khan’ has informed us about this new isometric D&D RPG that has been announced for the PC. And I have to say I’m a bit ashamed for not covering it (as we had received a press release from Digital Extremes regarding this title that passed under our radar). There comes a time when you realize that a specific game will flop. You see, while the gameplay trailers of Star Trek: The Video Game were quite good (thanks to clever editing), we always felt that something was ‘off’. Unfortunately, it seems that we were right as the actual gameplay mechanics of this new Star Trek game are awful. Since this is a Performance Analysis, we don’t want to focus on them but think of this title as a failed mashup of Mass Effect 3 (cover and combat mechanics) with Batman: Arkham Asylum (scanning abilities) that is accompanied by some truly bad and ‘robotic’ animation transitions. Warframe – PhysX Trailer

Digital Extremes has released a new trailer for its free-t0-play third person title, Warframe, showcasing the PhysX effects that have been introduced to it. Nvidia owners will enjoy some new particle effects, though we have to say that we were not impressed with what Digital Extremes added. After all, we’ve seen these particular effects in both Hawken and Planetside 2, so there is nothing new or extraordinary here.
