Three days ago, Doom 3 turned 10 years old. While Doom 3 was not as action-packed as its predecessor, it did look amazing for its time. Doom 3 tried to experiment and adopted a more ‘survival’ gameplay. And while the end result may disappointed a number of gamers, it definitely looked spectacular. Doom Reborn Is A Doom 3 Mod That Aims To Recreate Classic Doom Titles In id Tech 4
Bethesda has announced that Doom 4 (or plain DOOM) is under development and those who pre-order Wolfenstein: The New Order will be able to participate in its beta phase. Since that beta test won’t launch anytime soon, it is the perfect time to remind yourselves what Doom is. And while the classic Doom titles are still awesome (especially thanks to Doomsday and ZDoom), a new mod aims to somehow modernize the series. “Desolated – The Crying Fate” Is An Interesting Doom 3 Total Conversion That Is Out Now
DaveTheFreak has released a total conversion for Doom 3 that is called Desolated – The Crying Fate. According to its description, this TC offers many features such as different game-modes, 3 difficulties where the game changes, a RPG-System, Quests and many many more. The downside is that this mod requires the base Doom 3 game, meaning that in order to play it you’ll have to install it. And let’s be honest; there isn’t a lot of people with Doom 3 still installed.
