DOOM & Civilization VI have sold more than 2 million copies on Steam, Dark Souls 3 & Rise of the Tomb Raider nearing 2 million copies

It appears that DOOM and Sid Meiers Civilization VI were two of the best – sales wise – Steam releases in 2016. Both of these titles have sold more than 2 million copies. Truth be told, there was a free weekend for DOOM that boosted its playerbase. However, Civilization VI has managed to achieve those sales without any free weekend. Modder ‘hoover1979’ has released the first tech demo for his Ultra High Resolution texture pack for id Software’s classic Doom games. According to the modder, this pack is still a long way from completion and all textures presented in this pack are subject to change. Moreover, this pack is compatible with almost all of id Software’s classic Doom games. In other words, you can use it in Doom, Doom II, and Plutonia Experiment. Bethesda has released some new screenshots for the VR version of DOOM, DOOM VFR, and Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus. New gaming benchmarks revealed for Intel’s Core i7 8700K & 8600K (six games tested)

Lab501 has broken the embargo and leaked some new gaming benchmarks for Intel’s upcoming CPUs, the Intel Core i7 8700K and the Intel Core i7 8600K. Lab501 has tested six games and according to their findings, there is not that big of a performance difference between the 7700K and the 8700K (despite the fact that the 8700K is slightly faster in most cases).
