Doom – Framerate Will Not Be Capped At 60FPS On The PC Upon Release
Id Software’s Lead Renderer Programmer, Tiago Sousa, has confirmed that the framerate in the PC version of DOOM will not be limited at 60fps. NVIDIA GeForce Hot Fix 364.96 Driver Adds Support For DOOM’s Open Beta
NVIDIA has released a new hot fix driver for its graphics cards that adds official support for DOOM’s open beta. Do note that there is no SLI profile for DOOM. Our guess is that the game won’t support multi-GPU setups, something that also happened in all titles that were powered by the previous iteration of the id Tech Engine. DOOM Gets Open Beta Trailer
Bethesda has released a new trailer for the upcoming open beta phase of DOOM. According to Bethesda, players will have access to Team Deathmatch and Warpath on the Heatwave and Infernal maps. In other words, the same modes and maps that were available on the Closed Beta will be featured in the Open Beta. Doom’s Open Beta phase begins on April 15th and will last until April 17th. Enjoy!
