Doom Reborn, standalone remake of Doom 1 and 2 in Doom 3 Engine, now available for download

Modder ‘gamehacker’ has created a standalone version of Doom Reborn and released its pre-beta version 1.61. Doom Reborn is a total conversion of the original Doom Series, and the goal is to remake the original Doom and Doom 2 games in the idTech4 engine with new textures and new models for the original weapons and monsters, as well as with recreated and re-textured maps from these classic first-person shooters. Doom Eternal E3 2019 gameplay trailer has been recreated in Classic Doom and looks retro-cool

YouTube’s ‘Szczebrzeszyniarz Brzeczyszczyczmoszyski’ has recreated the latest gameplay trailer for Doom Eternal that was showcased at E3 2019 in classic Doom. The YouTuber was able to come really close to the original trailer, making this classic Doom demake look absolutely retro-cool. Doom Remake 4 shuts down due to cease and desist from Zenimax

Back in January 2019, we informed you about a new mod for the first Doom game that aimed to overhaul its visuals. Created by modder ‘vasyan777’, Doom Remake 4 brought with it High Resolution textures with PBR materials, 3D models of every object and enemy, New HUD, Brutal mods with plenty of blood and gibsmore lights, support for the Vulkan API and more. Experimental Doom Remake 4 version adds more lights, improves PBR materials, supports Vulkan API

Modder ‘vasyan777’ has released a brand new version of the Doom Remake 4 mod for the classic Doom games. According to the changelog, this experimental version comes with texture lights script which adds more lights making PBR materials reflecting, though it is also more resource hungry than the previously released version. As you may have noticed, we don’t usually share news about movies that are based on video-games. Brutal Doom V21 Release Candidate 8 available for download, packs further gore improvements

Modder ‘Sergeant_Mark_IV’ has released the final build of the Brutal Doom V21 mod for id Software’s classic shooter. YouTube’s ‘Thirty IR’ has shared two videos, showing Middle-earth Shadow of War and Doom running in 8K resolution with all details set on Ultra on two NVIDIA Titan RTX graphics cards. 8K gaming can be considered possible in a couple of games, provided you pay $5000 for two Titan RTX GPUs and lock the framerate at 30fps.
