Remember the amazing 2001 version of Duke Nukem Forever? Oh I bet most of us we’d kill to play that version instead of what Gearbox and 3D Realms offered us. And since this isn’t going to happen anytime soon, Gambini & Mikko Sandt decided to recreate the maps featured in DNF’s 2001 trailer in Duke Nukem 3D. The end result is quite amazing (for a retro title), and you can view a trailer for it below. This mod is planned for an April 15th release, and even though the trailer was uploaded on April 1st, Gambini has added some screenshots to this mod’s ModDB page on April 4th. In other words, it seems legit so go ahead and enjoy the trailer! Continue reading This Is The Duke Nukem Forever Game We’ve Been Waiting For, Only Slightly Different→

Devolver Digital has announced that it will be bringing the Atomic Edition of Duke Nukem 3D to Valve’s distribution service, Steam. According to the publisher, the Steam version of Duke Nukem 3D: Atomic Edition will come with some new bells and whistles, plus full Steamworks support. Devolver will unveil more details at a later date, however it is pretty obvious that the leaked Steam registry list could be true (in other words, there is still hope for Halo 3 PC). We’ve also included below a video with the High Resolution Pack of Duke Nukem 3D, so make sure to watch it! Continue reading Devolver Digital Brings “Duke Nukem 3D: Atomic Edition” To Steam→
Duke Nukem fans, this is for you. Gearbox’s forum member ‘trustn0!’ has spotted an amazing parody in which Duke Nukem confronts God. Long story short: Duke is trying to enter paradise and God is trying to check whether he’s on the paradise list or not. It’s a hilarious gift from John St. John, and although we are not 100% sure that the God voice is Morgan Freeman himself, it does sound like him. Enjoy! YouTube’s member ‘MrSolidSnake745’ is amazing, as he has managed to recreate – with the help of eight floppy drives – a lot of game music themes. I tell you, this guy is crazy and put a lot of work into this. His latest achievement is the recreation of Duke Nukem 3D’s theme and, ironically, it sounds pretty awesome. This is something unique and you should definitely give it a go. Congrats MrSolidSnake745 and we’re really looking forward to a new, ‘floppified’ game music theme. Now that’s what we’re talking about. Modder Anzer has just released the first screenshots of his upcoming mod for Crysis 2, Nuked Crysis. What is Nuked Crysis you ask? Well, it’s a re-imagining of Duke Nukem 3D in CryEngine 3, with Crysis 2’s assets. Anzer released some comparison shots and we have to say that Nuked Crysis is true to Duke Nukem 3D’s spirit. Anzer’s goal is to at least finish the first map (and maybe the next two as this re-mapping procedure needs a lot of time). This is simply amazing and we can’t wait to get our hands on it. No ETA has been announced as of yet, so stay tuned for more news about this promising mod! Continue reading Duke Nukem 3D comes to CryEngine 3 with the Nuked Crysis Mod→
