Admit it, you were a bit jealous that PS3 gamers could witness the fall of the antenna tower in the Caspian Border. And although DICE hadn’t revealed when this feature would pass on the PC version, look and behold as the latest PC patch that was released today features it. Oh yeah, PC gamers can now see the ‘falling antenna tower’ in the Caspian Border map. Moreover, both Battlelog and the PC patch are live right now, with the patch weighting over 3.5GB. DICE added some interesting features and in case you weren’t aware of, Ping is now present in the scoreboard and the chat window has been tweaked and moved to the top left of the screen. Furthermore, Battlelog has now more filter options as PC gamers can filter things like kill cam, vehicles, squad leader spawn. Enjoy some footage of the falling antenna from a PC match after the jump.
In other news, the Back to Karkand Expansion is live now on the PS3 and in order to celebrate its launch, DICE has released a new trailer, featuring explosive PlayStation 3 gameplay from the all-time classic map Wake Island.
Now that’s really hilarious. As you may already know, Battlefield 3 does not properly support VoIP. Yes, you are still able to use it but that’s thanks to Battlelog as DICE’s platform offers this feature and not the game itself. Of course, there are various issues due to this decision and it seems that DICE is not willing to fix them by properly including VoIP support to Battlefield 3. The reason? It’s bad business. Wait what? Continue reading Battlefield 3 – No plans for VOIP PC changes; bad business to properly fix it→
Modder ‘sebastian__’ released some new screenshots for his Adventure/fantasy/LOST-type movie that is based on the CryEngine 2. This movie is trying to push the boundaries of Crytek’s engine to the next level and sports some jaw-dropping visuals. According to sebastian__, the following images are in real-time but they are not playable as the framerate is around 15 in low-resolutions. Therefore, don’t expect to see such graphics in video-games anytime soon (or at least until the next-generation of consoles hit the market). No release date has been announced as of yet. Okay, I’m a little puzzled here. Although I love animes – still consider Death Note as one of the best animes ever – I’m not fascinated by the idea of an anime movie that is based on BioWare’s RPG, Dragon Age. This movie is produced in co-operation with director Sori, and according to EA, Japanese animes are really popular in North America and that’s precisely why the company decided to make one. Dragon Age: Blood Mage Crusade – as it will be called – is currently slated for a February 11th release and TOEntertainment released a new trailer for it that can be viewed bellow. Enjoy! We know that a lot of Battlefield 3 gamers wanted DICE to nerf the IRNV and the company promised to do so in its latest patch. Well, the PS3 update of the game went live on November 30th and look and behold how the nerfed IRNV looks like in the latest version. To be honest, DICE could simply remove it as right now it is really useless in the PS3 version – at least in the Metro map. Gotta love that fog that covers everything when you’re using it. However, all hope is not lost. Continue reading Battlefield 3 – This is how the nerfed IRNV looks like in the latest version→
