Weekly CryEngine 3 Gallery [October 30 – November 5th]; Jungle Returns

PC gamers, here are some brand new screenshots from some CryEngine 3 maps and mods that are currently in development. TheMagnumman357, Gkan, MasterGod, themodman101, darkchazz, CryStalker, blackhorizon and shadowkiller released some new screenies and we are really impressed with Gkan’s soccer screenshot. Battlefield 3 updates coming today on all platforms

DICE and Electronic Arts have just informed us – via Battlefield 3’s Facebook page – that they will roll out new updates for their game that will affect PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 players. As a result of that, there will be a maintenance at 2 AM PDT and will last until 3 AM PDT. During this maintenance, Battlelog and online multiplayer services for PC will be unavailable, whereas online multiplayer services for PS3 and XBOX 360 may experience intermittent issues over the hour-long period. I’ve said it before and I’ll keep saying it: I love modders. TechPowerUp’s user ‘Mindweaver‘ released a handy utility that lets you edit and config Battlefield 3’s graphical settings without entering the game. Now this is a crucial little program and one I was looking forward to. Why should I enter the game in order to change my settings? Especially when I want to play some multiplayer matches and want to tweak some options. God bless Mindweaver. Need For Speed: The Run – Four New Screenshots Released + Multiplayer Trailer

Electronic Arts has just released four brand new screenshots for their upcoming racer that is developed by Black Box, Need for Speed: The Run. These new screenies showcase the game’s multiplayer mode. Need for Speed: The Run is currently slated for a November 18th release on the PC and current generation consoles. Syndicate – New Co-Op Screenshots Released

Electronic Arts released some brand, new screenshots for Starbreeze’s upcoming reboot of Syndicate. These new screenshots show the game’s co-op mode and contrary to what we’ve seen so far, the visuals in these new screenies look like a mix between Mirror’s Edge and Mass Effect. Syndicate is currently slated for a 2012 release on the PC and current generation consoles. Let’s hope that it will be a worthy successor to the turn-based strategy PC classic title. Mass Effect 3 – Fan Q&A with Casey Hudson

BioWare released a new episode of BioWare Pulse, in which BioWare’s community manager, Jessica Merizan, and the game’s executive producer, Casey Hudson, answer their fans questions and show some amazing in game footage. In case you were unaware of, the fight for the Earth will start a little bit sooner as there will be a single and multiplayer demo of the game in January 2012. Electronic Arts released today seven new screenshots from their story-driven MMORPG, Star Wars: The Old Republic. Star Wars: The Old Republic is being developed and published by BioWare and LucasArts and represents an innovative approach to interactive entertainment, featuring immersive storytelling, dynamic combat and intelligent companion characters. Battlefield 3 PC Performance Analysis

Battlefield 3 is finally released, and it’s time to see how this highly anticipated FPS game performs with a modern-day PC. Contrary to other performance analyses, this – as pretty much every other in DSOGaming – is addressed to the average Joe, who does not have the latest and fastest GPU/CPU. The Secret World hits over 500,000 registered users

Funcom announced today that over half a million people have registered to participate in the ongoing beta testing of ‘The Secret World’, a game that will be published by Electronic Arts. Almost everyone joining the community has chosen to affiliate themselves with one of the game’s three secret societies – the Illuminati, the Dragon, and the Templars – fueling the conflict that is already emerging on forums and social media channels everywhere. Battlefield 3 – Nvidia owners be warned; Corrupted shadows and stuttering are introduced with Nvidia’s 285.62 Drivers

Battlefield 3 is the big star of these days and as we reported earlier today, Nvidia released some new drivers that are specifically optimized for it. Well, that’s what the green team states because in our testings we found out that these new drivers introduce two issues that might be related. To be more precise, the game suffers from major stuttering and corrupted shadows when they are set to the Ultra settings.
