Tyrannosaurus rushes into battle in this custom Battlefield 3 Theme

Christina Coffin, DICE’s Frostbite Engine Coder has just released a new, custom theme for Battlefield 3. Christina was having fun with photoshop and this theme is the result of that. MaLDo’s HD Texture Pack version 2.0 for Crysis 2

As we’ve informed you last month, MaLDo released some spectacular textures for Crysis 2. However, that texture pack was compatible only with the 1.1 version of the game and since Crytek has finally released the latest patch which basically unlocks the modding functionality of the game, MaLDo decided to update his pack and make it compatible with Crysis 2’s 1.9 version. EA announced that a new map for their free-to-play third-person cartoon-ish shooter will be released later this month. This map is the Wake Island, one of Battlefield franchise’s most popular maps. With the release of the Sandbox 3 Editor, we kind of expected to see amazing things from Crytek’s community. And they didn’t let us down. Behold the first screenshots of Crysis 2 modded that showcase some breathtaking visuals and open up the gap between current-generation consoles and PCs. If you thought that a high-end PC couldn’t provide far superior graphics than those of X360 or PS3… think again. Crysis 2 – The Way It Was Meant To Be… Partially

Let’s get one thing straight from the beginning. I was among those that criticized Crytek’s decision to release a dumbed down version of Crysis 2 to the PC. As I wrote in my ‘How Crytek doomed Crysis 2’s PC version’ article for another publication, Crytek had failed to release a proper PC version of Crysis 2 and didn’t include any DX11 support, modding tools, advanced graphics options or an 64bit executable file.
