Tim Sweeney, founder of Epic Games, comments on current and future Epic Store exclusive games

In a series of tweets and Reddit posts, Tim Sweeney, the founder of Epic Games, has commented on the Epic Store exclusive games (that have so far caused a lot of controversy). According to Sweeney, Valve has every right to negotiate free or exclusive distribution deals with developers and believes that companies choosing to partner together openly and exchange money or other benefits isn’t bribery. Epic Games Store roadmap revealed; Cloud Saves, Mod Support, Achievements and more

Epic Games has revealed the roadmap for all the improvements, enhancements and additions that will be coming to its Digital Store in 2019. According to the roadmap, Epic Games has recently implemented a Store Search feature, Free Game Notification, Code Redemption improvements, Collections and Bundles, an Offline mode, Pre-Loading and Regional Pricing. A few hours ago, Resetera’s member ‘Madjoki’ discovered that Epic Launcher collecting players’ Steam friends and play history. Going into more details, Madjoki found out that Epic Games Launcher on start up searches for Steam install and proceeds to get list of files in your Steam Cloud. Ubisoft & Epic Games will prevent third-party digital stores from selling keys for The Division 2 after release

A lot has been said about Epic Games’ decisions to secure and release specific games exclusively on its digital store. Metro Exodus was a game that out of nowhere dropped Steam in favour of Epic’s store and The Division 2 is the second triple-A games that will be coming to it (obviously alongside UPLAY). However, Epic Games and Ubisoft went one step further this time and decided to prevent all third-party digital stores from selling a key for this new title after its release. THQ Nordic issues official statement about Metro Exodus releasing as timed-exclusive on Epic’s store

In a series of tweets, THQ Nordic stated its official stance regarding the timed-exclusive release of Metro Exodus on Epic’s digital store. According to THQ Nordic, the decision to release the game initially only on Epic’s store was made entirely by Koch Media who is responsible for Deep Silver’s games.
