That’s hilarious. Intel attempted to demonstrate the DirectX 11 capabilities of their Ivy Bridge based Ultrabook and guess what; although the commentator was doing his best to simulate his driving skills and claimed that F1 2011 was running in DX11 mode, the main monitor betrayed him when he tried to press the play button on the video player program that was running at the background. This is just sad and shows that Intel’s Ivy Bridge based Ultrabook is not as good for gaming as you’d hoped to. Mooly Eden tried to make a comeback and said that the game was played by someone at backstage, when that wasn’t the case. This is a ‘double fail’ for Intel. Enjoy the following video from Intel’s show. Special thanks to YouTube member ‘networkworld’ for uploading it! Codemasters has just released the latest version of their F1 game. One of our biggest complains about F1’s previous version was the fact that it wasn’t optimized at all on the PC. Contrary to Grid or Colin McRae series, F1 2010 didn’t perform as we’d expect and was CPU bound. We were expecting Codies to optimize the Ego engine, but it seems that everything is exactly the same as with last year’s offering; same performance issues and the game remains CPU heavy. We’ll be honest with you though, we’d expect it to score higher especially after OPM’s comments about how this game will change the way you watch the Sunday affo Grand Prix. Hardcore fans will also get delighted since OPM stated that F1 2011 is unforgiving and newbie-unfriendly. Continue reading F1 2011 scores a 8/10 on its first review→
