Ah, it’s that time of year again. 2013 was a good year, full of surprises. It was also the year we got our first ‘next-gen’ titles, so it’s time now to see which are the top 10 PC optimized games of 2013. Before beginning, let us be crystal clear on this; we are not judging their gameplay mechanics. No no no no. We’re focusing on their tech side. This year we’ve also included the biggest disappointments, as well as some honorable mentions. So, let’s take a look at our list, shall we?

Project CARS vs F1 2013 Graphics Comparison
YouTube’s member ‘ADRIANF1esp’ has posted an interesting comparison between Project CARS and F1 2013. As we already know, pCars looks fabulous. However, some gamers would have thought that a racing title dedicated to F1 would be more authentic than Slightly Mad Studios’ offering. Well, this doesn’t seem to be the case. F1 2013 – PC Performance Analysis
Back in 2011, we claimed that F1 2011 was a title suffering from various performance issues. Due to its multi-platform nature, F1 2011 handled some graphical features via the CPU and there was no performance difference between a tri-core and a quad-core CPU. Not only that, but the performance difference between a dual-core and a quad-core was around 6fps, meaning that the game’s engine was unable to properly use more than two CPU cores. Fast forward two years and here we are with F1 2013 – a game that shows performance differences between tri-cores and quad-cores, and a game running way better than its predecessors. F1 2013 Is Now Available
Codemasters announced today that F1 2013 is available on PC, X360 and PS3, and has released a launch trailer that can be viewed below. As Codies noted, this launch trailer showcases the game’s latest step forward in visuals, which deliver the ultimate immersion in the 2013 season, alongside ground-breaking new classic content. F1 2013 – Jules Bianchi’s Hotlap in Korea Gameplay Video
Codemasters has released a new video for its upcoming F1 title, F1 2013, featuring a hotlap for Jules Bianchi in a Marussia car in Korea. F1 2013 promises to give Formula 1 fans the chance to compete against legendary drivers in cars from different eras of Formula One with a range of classic content from the 1980s. F1 2013 – Brands Hatch Classic Hotlap
Codemasters has released a new trailer for its upcoming F1 Formula racing game, F1 2013, featuring Emerson Fittipaldi’s hotlap at the Brands Hatch circuit in 1986. F1 2013 aims to give FORMULA 1 fans the chance to compete against legendary drivers in cars from different eras of FORMULA ONE with a range of classic content from the 1980s. F1 2013 – Classic Edition Trailer
Codemasters has released a new trailer for its upcoming F1 racing game, F1 2013, showcasing the 1976 Ferrari 312 T2. The 1976 Ferrari 312 T2 is an exclusive free gift to all those that sign up to Codemasters RaceNet and will be drivable in F1 2013’s Time Trial mode. F1 2013 will feature a Classics game mode that will be introduced by legendary broadcaster Murray Walker and that will allow players to race iconic 1980s cars from Williams, Lotus and Ferrari against drivers including Mario Andretti, Nigel Mansell, Emerson Fittipaldi and Gerhard Berger.
