The Surge – Gamescom 2016 gameplay trailer

Focus Home Interactive has released the Gamescom 2016 trailer for Deck13’s The Surge, showcasing 14 minutes of gameplay footage. The Surge is a visceral sci-fi  action RPG that features innovative combat mechanics, allowing you to target individual limbs, dismembering the exo-suit addon, or weapon, that you want to acquire. Players will also be able to collect tech-scrap and blueprints, return to the Operation Center to level up and craft new exo-suit addons and weapons salvaged throughout the levels. Enjoy! The Technomancer – First update implements toggle for walking/running, reworks Easy difficulty

SPIDERS has released the first patch for The Technomancer. According to the release notes, this patch implements a key that toggles walking or running, reworks the game’s Easy mode so that  Easy difficulty so that it is more accessible to players, and brings various fixes and stability improvements. This patch will be auto-downloaded from Steam, and you can read its complete changelog below. The Technomancer has been delayed to June 28th

The Technomancer was originally planned for a June 21st release, however it appears that Focus Home Interactive has slightly delayed the game. Even though the publisher did not issue any press release for the delay, its Steam store page (as well as its official website) has been updated and has the game listed for a June 28th release. Deck13’s The Surge is powered by the Fledge Engine, will not support DX12 at launch

During a tech presentation, Michele Giacalone, Graphics Programmer at DECK13 Interactive, revealed that The Surge will be powered by the Fledge Engine. The Fledge Engine is an in-house engine that was created by Deck13. And while appears to support DX12 and Async Compute, the PC version – at launch – will only support DX11. Here is 11 minutes of gameplay footage from Vampyr’s E3 2016 Demo

Focus Home Interactive and DONTNOD showcased their upcoming vampire game at this year’s E3, Vampyr. Vampyr is a new RPG in which players take control of Dr. Jonathan Reid, a newly formed vampire who is torn between the Hippocratic Oath he swore as a doctor, and the bloodthirsty need to kill due to the monster within. In Vampyr, players will have to feed on people in order to level up their characters, and their decisions will have consequences to the storyline. The Surge is a game that a lot of PC gamers will be looking forward to. Developed by the creators of Lords of the Fallen and being described as “Dark Souls with an exo-suit”, The Surge aims to feature innovative combat mechanics with a unique character progression system based on modular upgrades gained through the tight, visceral combat.
