Ubisoft has just released the highly anticipated patch for From Dust that offers an offline mode. Additionally, the save file is now moved from the Uplay/Ubisoft server to the local machine. Couple of days ago, Valve offered some refunds for those that were unhappy with Ubisoft’s downloadable game, From Dust. Those refunds however were only for those who pre-ordered their game and were accepted prior to the game’s release. So the game got out and some PC gamers were unhappy. Let us get one thing straight. We hate all games that are locked at 30fps. Okay, there is a reason to lock the framerate to consoles for performance purposes but there is no reason at all to cap it on the PC. At the same time, we are amazed with some modders that went the extra mile to remove it from various games like Transformers: War for Cybertron or Star Wars: The Force Unleashed.
