Retrospective Video – The Evolution Of Real-Time PC Graphics

3D Mark 2001
I really love this kind of videos. YouTube’s “PerfectHandVideos” has created an amazing retrospective video, showcasing the evolution of real-time PC graphics. This video shows off some of the benchmark tools and video-games that were released from 2000 to 2012, and even though we’re talking about a 2-hour video, we highly recommend watching it. Who can forget the Matrix scene from 3D Mark 2001? Or the Nature benchmark that showcased an Oblivion-like environment, something that most of us thought impossible at that time. So grab your pop-corn and off you go! Continue reading Retrospective Video – The Evolution Of Real-Time PC Graphics

It is also an ideal benchmark for entry-level DirectX 11 integrated graphics solutions that could struggle to run the more demanding Fire Strike test. Cloud Gate will be available only in the Windows versions of 3DMark initially. We’ve also included two shots from the Fire Strike DX11 test. Enjoy!
