Kalypso Media today announced a publishing deal with developer Flying Wild Hog to release an expanded and exclusive retail edition of their cyberpunk First-Person Shooter, Hard Reset, to UK retail in March 2012. Great news for AMD/ATI users as Flying Wild Hog released a new patch for Hard Reset that adds ATI Eyefinity support. In addition, this new update offers better support for Nvidia’s 3D Vision, as well as some minor fixes when players have connected a gamepad to their machines. Flying Wild Hog has finally released the highly anticipated 1.2 patch for their old-school, sci-fi cyber-punk FPS, Hard Reset. This patch adds a Survival mode to the game that includes two new maps: ‘Arrival Hall’ and ‘Landing Pad’. In addition, this new update adds support for multiple displays and Nvidia’s 3D Vision and Surround. That’s right Nvidia gamers. You can now enjoy this bad boy in glorious 3D. Hard Reset’s preview code was great, that is something we have to admit. However, there was a big concern while playing it; could a company announce and release so quickly a highly polished game? Apparently not as Hard Reset is plagued by two major issues that have a negative impact to the whole gaming experience. It ends before it even starts and there is a limited type of enemies. As we reported earlier yesterday, there is a Day-One patch for Hard Reset and today we bring you its release notes. As we said, the patch adds a FOV and a ‘Fast-Menu’ option. Additionally, it improved loading times between levels and fixes various issues concerning level geometry. The company has also promised to implement a full support mode for Eyefinity/3dVision. Hard Reset will unlock in a few hours for pretty much everyone and our Steam version has just been updated. From the looks of it, there is actually a day-one patch that adds various features and weights over 100MB. We can also confirm that some of those features are the ability change the FOV in the Video Options menu and the addition of a small check box in lower right corner, called ‘Fast Menu’ that speed ups the menu animations.
