Square Enix has revealed that its three top titles – Tomb Raider, Sleeping Dogs and Hitman: Absolution – have broken even, meaning that even though these titles did not sufficiently contribute to Square Enix’s profits, their development expenses were covered. Sweet Mary and Jesus. Last week, Square Enix revealed some sales numbers for Tomb Raider, Hitman: Absolution and Sleeping Dogs. Those numbers were described as estimates sales numbers, however it seems that they were the real numbers. Square Enix’s estimated numbers were higher than those reported, and according to a Japanese PDF report (coming straight from Square Enix), the company wanted to ship 5-6 million copies of Tomb Raider, 4.5-5 million copies of Hitman: Absolution and 2-2.5 million copies of Sleeping Dogs. Square Enix and Nixxes Software have released a new PC update for Hitman: Absolution. According to its changelog, this patch offers performance enhancements on various hardware configurations. We’ve already seen that Absolution had some optimization issues, therefore it will be interesting to see whether Nixxes has addressed them or not. Nixxes Software and IO Interactive have released a new update for the PC version of Hitman: Absolution. According to its changelog, this patch adds an option to either lower or disable the game’s Bloom effect, improves – slightly – the general performance, and adjusts the game’s difficulty levels. Nixxes Software and Square Enix have released the first PC patch for Hitman: Absolution. According to its release notes, this patch enables DX10 owners to use the simplest version of the Depth Of Field effect, fixes various startup issues, and addresses all problems with the Sniper Challenge Unlocks not carrying over into Hitman: Absolution.
