Ah, Hitman: Absolution. A Square Enix game that is ported to the PC by Nixxes. Awesome, right? After all, Nixxes was behind the PC version of Deus Ex: Human Revolution, a version that featured a lot of graphical options, a FOV slider, and took advantage of quad-cores. In all seriousness (and despite the fact that there was an annoying stuttering effect that was later fixed), Deus Ex: Human Revolution is a great PC port. Hitman: Absolution was bashed from various PC gaming portals/magazines (RockPaperShotgun and PCGamer are two of them). Seems, however, that Square Enix is trying its best to tempt everyone into actually getting this new Hitman game, by completely removing the online pass requirement for the game’s Contracts mode. Square Enix has released the launch trailer of Hitman: Absolution. Hitman: Absolution promises to deliver a cinematic experience in a living breathing world, where player choice is paramount. According to its press release, players will be able to experience unique disguise gameplay, improvised weapons and a myriad ways to take out a target. Square Enix has announced that Sleeping Dogs will be getting an interesting new DLC, with which Wei Shen will be able to become a silent assassin, augmented warrior or king of chaos. This new DLC, called Square Enix Character Pack, features characters/suits/armors from Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Hitman: Absolution and Just Cause 2, and will be available to download worldwide tomorrow (November 14th) from Xbox LIVE (160MSP), PlayStation Network ($1.99 / €1.49 / £1.19) and Steam ($1.99 /€1.49 / £1.19). IO Interactive released today the seventh part of the ‘Introducing’ video series, allowing us to meet ‘the Ultimate Assassin’. Hitman: Absolution is currently planned for a November 20th release on PC, X360 and PS3, and will be powered by the Glacier 2 technology, a new engine that promises to deliver with a cinematic story, distinctive art direction and highly original game design.
