DOOM and NVIDIA fans, here is something special for you today. NVIDIA and id Software showcased DOOM running on the brand newly announced GTX1080. Now what’s really interesting here is that DOOM was running using the Vulkan API. As you’d expect, the game was running really smooth. In fact, when id Software uncapped the framerate, the GTX1080 was able to push more than 100FPS (and in some cases it hits 195FPS or more). DOOM – New Video Showcases Single-Player Campaign
Bethesda has released a new video in which id Software’s Marty Stratton and Hugo Martin provide an exclusive look at DOOM’s single-player campaign, highlighting never-before-seen content. DOOM Single-Player Campaign “Cancelled/Unfinished” Trailer Leaked Online
Bethesda will release a new trailer for DOOM’s single-player campaign this Wednesday, however a leaked trailer appeared earlier today, showcasing the game’s SP mode. Doom – Framerate Will Not Be Capped At 60FPS On The PC Upon Release
Id Software’s Lead Renderer Programmer, Tiago Sousa, has confirmed that the framerate in the PC version of DOOM will not be limited at 60fps. According to both Tiago Sousa and the official Twitter account for DOOM, the framerate was locked at 60fps for beta purposes only. Doom 3: Redux Released – Overhauls Doom 3’s Graphics, Includes FOV Slider & Restores Cut Content
While Doom 3 was something completely different from its predecessors, I have to confess that I really liked it. And I’m happy to report that a new overhaul mod has been released for it, aiming to improve its visuals, sound and user interface. And if that wasn’t enough, this mod also restores content that was cut from the both the vanilla game and the E3 2002 tech demo.
