Polygon today revealed that Zenimax has – once again – filed a lawsuit against Oculus. Zenimax believes that Oculus is wrongfully benefiting from years and millions of dollars worth of ZeniMax research and blah blah blah. What really caught our attention, though, was a comment from a current id Software about the state of the company after Carmack’s departure and the well-known Zenimax purchase. Brutal Doom Keeps Getting Better & Better – New Video Shows “Ragdoll Physics”
There is no doubt that Brutal Doom is – thus far – THE BEST mod ever created for id Software’s classic FPS title. Modder ‘SGtMarkIV’ has released a new video for the next version of Brutal Doom that will feature “ragdoll physics” effects. Naturally, these are not real physics effects, just a simulation of the effect. Still, it looks great and adds a lot to the overall atmosphere. Brutal Doom is THE mod for id Software’s classic FPS title. Created by modder ‘SGtMarkIV’, this mod brings a new meaning to the word ‘gory’. SGtMarkIV is currently working on a new version for it and has showcased the blood decals that will be featured in it. As you can see, these new decals are better than those featured in the vanilla version. Brutal Doom Looks Ludicrously Amazing – New Video Showcases Blood Decals On Sprites
Modder ‘Sergeant_Mark_IV’ released a new video, showcasing a new feature of Brutal Doom that will be implemented in its next version. As a result of Sergeant_Mark_IV’s work, all decorative actors and objects – in other words, all 2D sprites – will be covered by blood when players explode an enemy to pieces.
