Have you ever wondered of what would happen if you could mix together Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 with Doom? Well, time to find out. This following video is in fact from a real Doom mod – called Real Guns Advanced 2 – that was released for iD’s little baby a while ago and as you can see, the similarities with Modern Warfare 2 are incredible. Let’s be honest here, we are really put off by RAGE’s graphics quality. Even with all the tweaks to avoid the annoying texture pop-in, the game suffers from really low-quality textures. Add to that the pre-baked shadows, old-generation shaders and limited dynamic lighting and you get a game that could be easily released several years ago. Bethesda has just released the first PC patch for the latest FPS game from iD Software, RAGE. As was promised, this patch adds – among other things – some video options with which players can adjust their gaming experience. Team Future released a teaser trailer for their upcoming mod for Doom 3, Doom 3: Phobos. Doom 3: Phobos is a 1 episode project which continues the story in Doom 3 and it is set in between Doom 3 and its expansion pack, Resurrection of Evil. Contrary to the console versions of RAGE, the PC one is safe and hasn’t been leaked yet. That could change though as Steam has just announced that RAGE is now available for pre-load. The game’s size is 21.6GB and there is a possibility that some groups might try to crack it before release.
