Activision released a brand new trailer for their highly anticipated FPS game, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. As with most CoD trailers, it looks epic and demonstrates some of the changes that were made to its dated game engine. From the looks of it, there will be lots of scripted moments but then again, that has always been CoD’s strongest feature. This time around there will be a limited level of destruction, though we can’t help but notice that most of the environmental mayhem is basically scripted (pretty much like the one in Crysis 2). “Find Makarov: Operation Kingfish” is the seven-minute sequel to the fan-made, original film, Find Makarov. The real life movie reveals a key moment in Modern Warfare history as Soap recalls one of his most memorable Task Force 141 missions. Infinity Ward revealed today lots of details about Modern Warfare 3’s multiplayer mode. According to the developers, MW3 MP will be the most balanced Call of Duty experience and will sport more changes to the game than ever before. Some of them are regarding the game’s map layout, speed of movement and perks. Additionally, there will no longer be a Commando perk, Last Stand and shotgun as a secondary weapon. It’s really funny how things turned out for DICE and Infinity Ward/Sledgehammer. Both companies are talented and have been with us for quite some time. It wasn’t untill recently though when gamers found out the first studio, mainly due to its console version of Battlefield called, Bad Company. In fact… the same can be said about Infinity Ward too since their roots can be found on the PC with the creation of the first Call of Duty game. Great news for everyone as Valve has just announced that Activision’s highly anticipated CoD game, Modern Warfare 3, will be using Valve’s Steamworks. This goes for both the retail and the digital versions and basically means that MW3 will support Steam cloud saving, offline play, auto-updating, downloadable content and achievements.
