Windows 10 Intel Security Update is now available, six triple-A games tested in CPU-bound scenarios

Yesterday, we informed you about a security design flaw in Intel’s processor that required a new software update. According to initial reports, this fix would bring a performance hit on Intel’s CPUs somewhere between 5-30%. Intel’s roadmap leaked, will not release any 10nm or Ice Lake CPUs in 2018, Cascade Lake-X coming in Q4 2018

It appears that Intel’s roadmap has been leaked online. According to this leak, Intel will not launch any new architecture for the mainstream desktop in 2018. NVIDIA increases GPU market share in Q3 2017, PC gaming segment was once again the bright spot

Jon Peddie Research shared its latest data for Q3 2017. According to the report, NVIDIA has increased its GPU market share in this latest quarter. Intel hires AMD’s Raja Koduri, will develop high-end discrete graphics cards

Intel today announced the appointment of Raja Koduri as Intel chief architect, senior vice president of the newly formed Core and Visual Computing Group, and general manager of a new initiative to drive edge computing solutions. In this position, Koduri will expand Intel’s leading position in integrated graphics for the PC market with high-end discrete graphics solutions for a broad range of computing segments. Intel Core i7 8700K appears to be the best CPU for gaming, third-party benchmarks surface

Intel has lifted the embargo for its new Intel Core i7 8700K CPU and it appears – from most third-party benchmarks – that this CPU is the best for gaming. As we’ve already covered, the Intel Core i7 8700K CPU comes with 6 cores, supports 12 threads, is clocked at 3.7Ghz and can be turbo-boosted at 4.7Ghz. New gaming benchmarks revealed for Intel’s Core i7 8700K & 8600K (six games tested)

Lab501 has broken the embargo and leaked some new gaming benchmarks for Intel’s upcoming CPUs, the Intel Core i7 8700K and the Intel Core i7 8600K. Lab501 has tested six games and according to their findings, there is not that big of a performance difference between the 7700K and the 8700K (despite the fact that the 8700K is slightly faster in most cases). It appears that the first third-party gaming benchmarks have been leaked online. Intel’s 8th generation desktop CPUs to offer up to 25% performance boost in multi-threaded PC games

Intel has issued an official press release in which the company claimed that its new 8th generation desktop CPUs will be up to 25% faster than its 7th generation desktop CPUs in multi-threaded games. Intel used Microsoft’s Gears of War 4 as an example, in which the new Intel Core i7 8700K performed 25% faster than the Intel Core i7 7700K.
