Great news for all Deus Ex fans, as the team behind New Vision has released its final version. In case you were unaware of, New Vision is a project that overhauls the environmental textures of ION Storm’s classic first-person shooter / RPG title. I’m shocked that this mod went under everyone’s radar . And that’s because 2027 features amazing graphics – well, for an Unreal 1 Engine game – and is the effort of a small Russian team to actually offer a true prequel to one of the best PC games ever. Since Human Revolution is out now, we felt the need to give you something from the original game. Four years ago, I was quite excited about a new mod that would replace Deus Ex’s blurry textures with some remastered, new high-resolution ones. It looked great and had a lot of potential and I was really looking forward to. But as with most ambitious mods, it got delayed and there has never been an official release date.
