2K Games and Irrational Games have officially unveiled the packshot of Bioshock: Infinite and in all seriousness, it looks awful. I mean, this packshot is better suited for a game like Far Cry 3 and not Bioshock. Come on, take a look at it. No Elizabeth at all in the cover? Sure thing, Irrational Games wants to move away from Elizabeth’s impressive breast, but this packshot is a generic as it can possibly get. It looks horrible and we can’t believe that a studio like Irrational has chosen this cover. Man what a disappointment. You can view it below, so be sure to share your thoughts on it! Remember Bioshock 2? What was its most lackluster feature? Oh yes, that was undoubtedly it’s Multiplayer mode. Not surprising as Bioshock was, is and will always be an SP centric game. And thankfully, Irrational Games won’t try to please its casual fans with another, useless MP mode. Ken Levine, creative director and co-founder of Irrational Games, has confirmed that Bioshock Infinite won’t feature any MP modes at all. Hooray. Man, things are not looking good at Irrational Gammes. Two months ago, two key members of the development team on Bioshock Infinite have left Irrational Games. Those two members were Tim Gerritsen and Nate Wells. Not only that, but Irrational’s Design Manager went to Sucker Punch, while the company’s Senior System Design went to Harmonix. And here we are today, with Irrational’s Combat Design Director and A.I. Lead leaving the company in order to go to Microsoft. Ouch. Majami Hiroz has recreated Bioshock Infinite’s trailer in 8-Bit. This is an interesting take on Irrational Games, though it does not resemble at all the actual game. To be honest – and given its 8-Bit nature – it looks more like a side-scrolling game than a retro FPS title. Still, it would be cool to see such a game hitting iOS or other devices. Bioshock Infinite is currently planned for a February 2013 release on PC, X360 and PS3. Enjoy! Continue reading Pixelated Bioshock Infinite – Bioshock Infinite’s trailer recreated in 8-Bit→
Oh I bet most of you will be excited with this. I also bet that some of you will curse me for reminding you such a classic game and for not including a download link. But then again, this mod is still a WIP and the modder didn’t share anything else other than a video walkthrough of his first level. So, as the title suggests, Mark Valentine has been experimenting with the Source Engine and has managed to recreate the first level of Looking Glass’ and Irrational Games’ classic FPS/RPG title, System Shock 2. Continue reading System Shock 2 Recreated in Source Engine→
We bet that a lot of gamers have been waiting anxiously for the third part of the Bioshock series. The game was slated for a 2012 release, however it seems that PC (and console) gamers will have to wait a little bit more as 2K Games announced today that the game is now planned to launch worldwide on February 26, 2013. Well, at least we have tons of other games to play in 2012, right? Continue reading BioShock Infinite pushed back to 2013→
