Metro: Last Light is one of our most anticipated games of 2013. And even though we have not heard a lot about it, THQ’s Huw Beynon decided to talk a bit with AusGamers about it and its prequel. THQ has released some brand new screenshots for Metro: Last Light and as always, this new Metro game looks gorgeous. Unfortunately, the game won’t hit stores this year as it’s planned for an early 2013 release. Still, Metro: Last Light keeps getting better and better and we hope that THQ will release an E3 trailer for it in the coming days. On the other hand, even if we don’t get one, we have that earlier gameplay footage that was released a few days ago – and was part of GameTrailers’ interview. Post-apocalyptic fans, get ready for some new footage of the upcoming Metro: Last Light. This footage was uploaded on GameTrailers, however it was removed for unknown reasons. Our guess is that GameTrailers uploaded it prior to their exclusive deal with 4A Games but YouTube’s member ‘FE4R87’ has managed to download it and re-upload it on YouTube. Metro: Last Light’s live action trailer is meant to be officially released in around 19 hours. However – and like most things nowadays – it got leaked and below you can find the full short film. The video is in Russian and there are no subtitles as of right now. THQ has put a lot of effort into it and it does look solid, so kudos to them. THQ’s Community Manager, Joe Walz, revealed some new information about Metro: Last Light. According to Walz, Metro: Last Light will be present at this year’s E3 and THQ might share some screenshots and trailers before it. In addition, 4A Games has been hard at work to redesign the user interface, HUD, and controls. The company believes that these were some of Metro 2033’s flaws and an area they are putting a lot of focus on for its sequel. Bad news for those that were looking forward to THQ’s and 4A Games’ upcoming FPS, Metro: Last Light, as the game has been delayed to Q1 2013. According to the publisher, this delay will give them time to “enhance and polish the gameplay of this hidden gem” as well as secure a better launch window. Oh, and the game’s marketing budget has been doubled but who cares, right? This doesn’t concern gamers. So, no Metro: Last Light for you this year. Bummer.
