Microsoft in an attempt to milk the golden cow with the Kinect PC

A few hours ago, Microsoft announced that Kinect will be coming to the PC. Great news, right? Well it would be if Microsoft wasn’t trying to milk the golden cow. You see, instead of offering PC gamers the chance to experience Kinect as it is, Microsoft is releasing a brand new device for it that has minimal to no changes with the X360 version. Well, apart from a new motion camera feature called ‘near mode’ that allows the camera to be used as close as 50cm away. Not only that, but Kinect for PC is priced, significantly higher than the X360 one. Continue reading Microsoft in an attempt to milk the golden cow with the Kinect PC

Alan Wake not coming to PS3 anytime soon; Microsoft gave Remedy the green light for the PC version

We know that a lot of you were wondering whether or not Remedy had acquired the rights of Alan Wake as if they actually did get them back, a future PS3 version would be possible, right? Amazing violin cover of the Halo theme by Lara

We’ve seen Lara in a lot of violin covers for various games and she recently did a violin cover for Skyrim’s theme. It was cool, no doubt about that. But her new violin cover for Halo’s theme is simply fantastic. According to Lara, this has been quite a popular request lately and the backing is from Halo 2 (the original tune is one of the best games tunes ever and is from Martin O’Donnell & Michael Salvatori). Now there weren’t any sheets as she played it by ear, so kudos to her. Enjoy the video after the jump. Continue reading Amazing violin cover of the Halo theme by Lara

Halo: CE Anniversary Edition will feature both the original and the new HD version of Halo

Now here is something interesting. The much anticipated Halo: CE Anniversary will actually feature both the original and the HD remake version of Halo: Combat Evolved. Players will be able to switch between these two modes with the press of a button and see how the game looked when it was first released on Xbox. Think of it as the ‘switch functionality’ of the recent Monkey Island HD remakes and in our opinion, all HD remakes should feature a similar option.
