We here in DSOG love Mortal Kombat, especially its older 2D versions. And since PS4 is almost upon us, NetherRealm’s Ed Boon, creator of Mortal Kombat, decided to share some memories and facts from the older parts of MK. Happy Times – Mortal Kombat Turns 20 Years Old

Man, it’s been 20 years since the release of the first Mortal Kombat game. Some hated it, others loved it. Personally, I loved all 2D versions of this legendary series and I still remember visiting the arcades to play Mortal Kombat 2. Or how about the cencored SNES version of MK1 that was – kind of – awful? Or the way the media advertised it, statingĀ that this game would turn us into psychopaths? Ah, the memories. But anyway.
