Ah yes, MK vs SF is the crossover we’ve been waiting for. And although we’ve seen a couple of fan-made animations that put SF characters against the MK ones, it seems unlikely we’ll ever get such a game. Good news then that there have been a couple of fan films that tried to satisfy our desire for such a crossover. So, today we bring you a new live action short film, directed by Chris Mark, that puts Scorpion against Ryu. The great thing here is that you can choose the winner of this fight at the end of it, as this is an interactive film. Enjoy! Man, it’s been 20 years since the release of the first Mortal Kombat game. Some hated it, others loved it. Personally, I loved all 2D versions of this legendary series and I still remember visiting the arcades to play Mortal Kombat 2. Or how about the cencored SNES version of MK1 that was – kind of – awful? Or the way the media advertised it, stating that this game would turn us into psychopaths? Ah, the memories. But anyway. Happy birthday Mortal Kombat and in order to celebrate it, we’ve included all the fatalities from MK1, 2, and Ultimate 3, as well as a retrospective that is courtesy of GameSpot. Enjoy! Warner Bros sent us a press release for Mortal Kombat’s Komplete Edition and what’s really interesting is that the company decided to pick a side and inform us whether Mortal Kombat would actually hit the PC or not. Given the fact that some other triple-A fighting games are on the PC (or coming), someone would assume that both NetherRealm and Warner Bros would gladly jump on the PC-wagon, right? Well, it seems that this acclaimed part of our beloved fighting series won’t hit our platform anytime soon, however there is still hope. We do know that a lot of gamers have been dreaming for a crossover between Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter. Ed Boon has expressed his desire for something like that, as well as Yoshinori Ono. Although something like that is quite difficult due to MK’s fatalities and general brutality – and the fact that most SF characters are not as agressive as those of MK – there is still hope. We’ve seen in the past some interesting Mortal Kombat parodies, but nothing can come close to R1665’s FAILtalities. As the title suggest, this video is a parody of Mortal Kombat’s finishing moves and it’s simply great. Seriously, there are so many great moments; Cyrax becomes Glados, Raiden simply can’t die, Scorpion trying to climb to an upper floor, Jax trying as hard as he can to rip Sheeva’s hands and so on. Check it out, it’s amazing! Continue reading Mortal Kombat FAILtality is one of the best Mortal Kombat Parodies→
