Namco Bandai released a video in which Joonas Laakso, Ridge Racer Unbounded Game Producer and Tony Shoupinou, Namco Bandai Games Europe Community Manager show us through the Gamescom 2011 demo. Coming straight from CD Projekt RED’s poster that will be in this year’s GamesCom, we now know that the PC Version 2.0 of The Witcher 2 will be released on September 29th and will be free of charge. Well at least to those who have already purchased the game. This new, updated version will be free and not a DLC – something that other companies would do. Kudos to CD Projekt RED for deciding something like that and lets hope that Geralt’s lag will be fixed in this improved version! CD Projekt RED released today a hotfix patch for their acclaimed RPG, The Witcher 2. This new patch fixes some minor issues with the game’s 3D support, as well as some glitches and bugs. Most importantly though is that the game’s executable files are no longer treated as a threat by popular antivirus softwares. Okay, we all pretty much know that SFxT will eventually hit the PC. Capcom couldn’t cover up that press release that featured PC in SFxT’s platforms and we can’t believe that its inclusion was a simple ‘mistake’. Oh boy, here we go again. Remember when Bioshock 2 was released and the widescreen mode was simply a FOV hack that positioned the camera closer to the view? Well, here comes the latest patch of The Witcher 2 to piss off PC gamers with that same issue. CD Projekt RED is a respected company and we couldn’t believe it when we heard it. But here are some screenshots that prove those complains. Although you will enjoy The Witcher 2 now without those annoying black bars, CD Projekt RED failed to properly support all those custom aspect ratios.
