Man, it’s been 20 years since the release of the first Mortal Kombat game. Some hated it, others loved it. Personally, I loved all 2D versions of this legendary series and I still remember visiting the arcades to play Mortal Kombat 2. Or how about the cencored SNES version of MK1 that was – kind of – awful? Or the way the media advertised it, stating that this game would turn us into psychopaths? Ah, the memories. But anyway. Happy birthday Mortal Kombat and in order to celebrate it, we’ve included all the fatalities from MK1, 2, and Ultimate 3, as well as a retrospective that is courtesy of GameSpot. Enjoy! Warner Bros sent us a press release for Mortal Kombat’s Komplete Edition and what’s really interesting is that the company decided to pick a side and inform us whether Mortal Kombat would actually hit the PC or not. Given the fact that some other triple-A fighting games are on the PC (or coming), someone would assume that both NetherRealm and Warner Bros would gladly jump on the PC-wagon, right? Well, it seems that this acclaimed part of our beloved fighting series won’t hit our platform anytime soon, however there is still hope. PC gamers have been waiting patiently for the PC version of Mortal Kombat: Arcade Kollection, though most of them have been disappointed by the fact that it’s delayed for almost half a year. A few months ago, we contacted Warner Bros, who told us that Mortal Kombat: Arcade Kollection is coming to the PC, although there wasn’t any estimated release date as of yet. All of this could be changed though, as Ed Boon, creator of Mortal Kombat, has commented on the PC version of it. Continue reading Ed Boon comments on Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection PC→
With the recent news about the delay of the console patch for Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection, we began wondering; what ever happened to the PC version of the game that was supposed to be out one month after the console releases? To our surprise, there isn’t any store – digital or retail – that has the PC version and to make things worse, Ed Boon himself said – a few days ago – that there never was a PC version of this arcade collection. Continue reading Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection won’t be coming to the PC after all→
