Alan Wake PC is almost upon us, but have you ever wondered what has been changed or tweaked between the PC and the X360 version? YouTube’s member, ‘shinnntube’, went ahead and made a comparison video between the PC and the X360 version. Although the preview version does not include all the re-touched textures that Remedy has added to the game, we can clearly see a better terrain and environment on the PC. Alan Wake’s coat also looks better than the one found in the X360 and generally speaking, there is a noticeable improvement in the game’s graphics. Alan Wake PC is slated for a February 16th release. Here is some good news for those wishing to purchase the retail version of Alan Wake PC. According to Nordic Games, the game’s publisher, the retail version of Alan Wake PC will be hitting online and retail stores in March 2nd in Europe. No word yet for the release date of the North American version of the retail but we can asume that it will be around that time. Admit it. Most of you, PC gamers were simply expecting a small graphical increase over the X360 version of Alan Wake, right? Well, guess again. Remedy’s Markus has released a teaser comparison between the X360 version and the PC version (1080p in high detail) and as you can see, the PC version has noticeable improvements in textures, shader effects and LOD detail. Remedy Entertainment announced today that Alan Wake will be available on PCs through Steam on February 16th and soon afterwards through other popular digital channels. Since the announcement of Alan Wake’s PC version, a lot of gamers have been wondering whether Remedy would be using textures of a higher resolution or not. And at last, we can finally answer to that question. The answer though might not be the one you’ve been hoping to, as Alan Wake PC will feature some polished textures here and there but not a proper HD texture pack. Were you disappointed by the fact that Alan Wake PC would be coming to you only through the digital distribution way? Well, time to jump up and down as Nordic Games has announced the signing of the publishing deal for the boxed PC version of Remedy’s critically acclaimed psychological action thriller, Alan Wake. According to the publisher, the boxed PC version will include both XBLA DLCs “The Signal” and “The Writer” and further details on the exact release date are to follow, meaning that the boxed version won’t be available at the same time with the digital one, although a March release is expected.
