Let’s get one thing straight from the beginning. Ladies and gentlemen, here is our GOTY 2011 (well… at least so far). Deus Ex: Human Revolution is exactly what all Deus Ex fans have been waiting for. It provides you with the ability to complete every single mission the way you want to. It features a classic inventory system, has lots of augmentations and Easter eggs and its level design is by far the best we’ve seen so far. Is it perfect? Of course not but this doesn’t mean anything as you will agree with us when you get the chance to play it; this is the GOTY 2011. Continue reading Deus Ex: Human Revolution PC Review→
While logging to the game today, we were greeted with an unexpected message. According to this new message, there will be a special announcement on August 29th at 22:00GMT. Now we don’t really know what that special announcement could be. A DLC perhaps? A massive update? Or an announcement of a HD remake for the first Deus Ex – we really doubt it but who knows. You can find a screengrab of the menu that shows the upcoming announcement after the jump. Continue reading Deus Ex: Human Revolution – Special Announcement Coming On August 29th→
To celebrate the launch of critically acclaimed video game Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Square Enix has commissioned filmmaker Rob Spence, who goes by the pseudonym EYEBORG to investigate prosthetics, cybernetics and human augmentation. As a real life cyborg, having replaced his eye with a wireless camera, Spence is in a unique position to comment on how close we are to the cybernetic future presented to us in Deus Ex: Human Revolution. Square Enix has just released a new update for Deus Ex: Human Revolution. No, this is not that hotfix that was issued two days ago. This is a brand new update that – among other things – improves the loading times. As with most updates that are distributed via Valve’s distribution service, it will be auto-downloaded next time you start the Steam client. Those interested can view the entire changelog after the jump. Continue reading Deus Ex: Human Revolution – New PC Update Released; Improves Load Times By Up To 50%→
Wow. Now this is shocking to say the least. Yesterday it was confirmed that Gamestop was opening Deus Ex: Human Revolution’s PC cases to remove the free OnLive pass that was included. Obviously, Gamestop didn’t want to promote their competition but what right did they have to actually open the cases and then sell them as brand new ones? None to be honest. Continue reading Square Enix apologizes to Gamestop… wait, what?→
According to the game’s Steam page, an issue was found that caused some users to be unable to start the game on specific machines. Specifically, the presence of older ATI/AMD drivers, also on machines with NVidia hardware, would cause the game to crash on startup. This patch is a hot-fix for that particular issue. On top of this, it also increases the number of save-slots from 20, like on the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions, to 99. As with most patches, it will be auto-downloaded next time you start the Steam client. Continue reading Deus Ex: Human Revolution Hotfix Released; Easter egg at the game’s end credits→
I bet that most of you have already seen Sylvester Stalone’s Demolition Man and if you did, you’ll most certainly remember those weird ‘three seashells’. It’s funny but I still don’t get how they were supposed to be used but nevermind. Since the latest part of Deus Ex will be released in a few days, we wanted to share with you one of its easter eggs. Continue reading Deus Ex: Human Revolution features Demolition Man’s ‘Three Seashells’→
Publishers and developers, take note from Square Enix and EIDOS as this is exactly what you should be doing when there is a lot of negative discussion about a new and controversial feature of your games. Earlier this week we reported that Deus Ex: Human Revolution’s PC version would be region locked. Well, time to relax everyone as EIDOS has just announced that the game won’t be region locked in Europe after all. Continue reading Deus Ex: Human Revolution PC no longer region locked in Europe→
You’ve seen in the past posts about major PC leaks but we all know that leaks are more often on consoles and here comes a major leak for a highly anticipated game. It is pretty much confirmed at this moment that Deus Ex: Human Revolution’s X360 and PS3 versions are leaked on various torrent sites, five days before their release. Now obviously we can only assume that a reviewer leaked it or that a store broke its street release and someone put it on the Internet. Continue reading Deus Ex: Human Revolution’s X360 and PS3 Versions Leaked; PC version is still safe→
According to Frank Lapikas, the limited ammo of Deus Ex: Human Revolution is one key factor for making the game fun and challenging. That was revealed when a fan asked Frank whether EIDOS have considered to increase the amounts of ammo throughout the game.
