Smosh Games has shared a new Honest trailer for Mojang’s Minecraft. Naturally, this trailer is pretty hilarious but contrary to most other Honest trailers, this one does not make fun of the game. Because Minecraft is indeed a great game (well, apart from its retro visuals may put off a number of gamers). Enjoy! Continue reading Minecraft Gets Honest Trailer→
Now this is really wonderful. Chris Taylor has just canceled the Kickstarter campaign of Wildman and George Broussard, Cliff Bleszinski and Notch decided to discuss whether or not the Kickstarter ‘magic’ is fading out. In fact, everything started by Bleszinski when he wondered whether Kickstarter is feeling ‘kind of… played out …lately‘ or not. Minecraft is a killer app, we already knew that. What’s interesting though is that the game’s sales are not slowing down at all. According to its official site, the PC version of Minecraft has sold over 9 million copies. Guess PC gaming is not dead after all, right? Nevertheless, it’s also astonishing how successful Minecraft, a game with low system requirements, can actually be. We’re also wondering whether a next-gen version of Minecraft would boost those numbers or not. Continue reading Minecraft PC Surpasses 9 Million Sold Copies→
Mojang and Markus ‘Notch’ Persson have announced Minecom 2012. This year, the company is bringing Minecom to Europe (Paris will be the exact location) and ticket sales and hotel registration will start in the next few weeks. This event will take place on November 24th-25th and – our guess is – that will get more information and media assets from Mojang’s upcoming games. Continue reading Minecom 2012 Announced→

That’s an impressive number and we’re pretty sure that Notch – as well as Mojang – is excited about their games’ sale numbers. Continue reading Minecraft PC hits 6 million sold copies→
It’s been three years since the first public unveiling of Minecraft, a game that was described back then as a very early test of an Infiniminer clone in which Notch has been working on, and was meant to have more resource management and material elements. Ironically, Notch said back then that Minecraft would have those features if he ever got around finishing it. Fast forward three years and Minecraft is the most successful indie game, Notch is a millionaire and Mojang is a reality. Just wow. Continue reading Celebration time; Minecraft turned 3 years old today→
Earlier today, EA released an indie bundle on Steam that features Deathspank, Gatling Gears, Warp, Shank 1 and Shank 2. It was a surprise seeing EA releasing an indie bundle what came afterwards caught us off guard. Markus ‘Notch’ Persson was really annoyed by EA’s actions and said some harsh words against them. Notch called EA ‘a bunch of cynical bastards‘ and said that they are ruining everything. Wow. Continue reading Markus ‘Notch’ Persson attacks EA for their indie bundle; ‘EA is a bunch of cynical bastards’→
