The memory specifications of the upcoming RTX 3090 and RTX 3080 Ampere cards have just been confirmed by Videocardz. According to Videocardz’s internal sources at Add-in-Board (AIB) Partners, it has been confirmed that the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 will feature 24 GB of GDDR6X memory, while the GeForce RTX 3080 will initially launch with 10 GB of GDDR6X memory. There’s a huge difference between the RTX 3090 & the RTX 3080 when it comes to the VRAM capacity, but only these specs have been confirmed for now. It appears that the previous power supply requirement rumors regarding Ampere GPUs were indeed true. NVIDIA’s upcoming Ampere RTX 3080 GPU was recently spotted in the Userbenchmark database. The alleged entry in the database confirmed few things. The SKU was the RTX 3080, having Device ID of 2206, and the GPU clock speed was being mentioned as 2.1 Ghz max, and the card was having 10GB of VRAM. Yesterday, I shared one leak/rumor on the pricing of some of the Custom GPU models from the Colorful brand. Now we are hearing rumors that the reference ‘Founders Edition/FE’ RTX 3090 GPU might cost a minimum of $1399, though expect a premium of 100 USD as well, which should make the Founders Edition card cost $1499 USD.
