Nvidia GeForce 327.23 WHQL Drivers Released

Nvidia has released a new set of WHQL drivers for its graphics cards. According to ManuelG – Nvidia’s employee – this new driver comes with bugs Nvidia discovered during its internal testing and this is why those fixes are not listed in the release notes. According to Nvidia’s slides, Batman: Arkham Origins will support GPU PhysX effects, as well as DX11, tessellation and TXAA. The Witcher 3’s Fur Tech Will Most Probably Bring Your GPUs To Their Knees

During this year’s PAX Prime, Nvidia showcased its Fur Tech that will be used in The Witcher 3. In this demo, Nvidia showcased what its latest tech looks like, however it seems that this particular technique will require a really high-end graphics card in order to be enjoyed. In fact, Nvidia demoed its Fur tech at a mere resolution of 1024×768 and the Titan card was able to only push 65fps when there were two wolves on screen. According to the green team, NVIDIA developers are on-site at Infinity Ward, working hand in hand with Activision’s developers to ramp up the quality and fidelity of the game’s Sub D tessellation, displacement mapping and HDR lighting. Nvidia GeForce 326.80 Beta Out, Increases Performance In Splinter Cell: Blacklist & Several Games

Following AMD’s example, Nvidia has released a new set of drivers for its graphics cards. The GeForce 326.80 Beta comes with increased performance in Splinter Cell: Blacklist and in several games for GeForce 400/500/600/700 Series GPUs. In addition, this driver pack sports a new version for Nvidia’s PhysX software, adds native support for 4K displays, adds support for TXAA under OpenGL and adds SLI profiles for both Splinter Cell: Blacklist and Batman: Arkham Origins. We know, we know; GTA V will eventually come to the PC. Even though Rockstar has not revealed anything yet, it’s almost certain that this new sandbox title will hit our beloved platform. After all, that’s what Nvidia has also claimed. Nvidia GeForce 326.41 Beta – Fixes Game Crashes, Improves Metro: Last Light’s DLC Performance

Nvidia has released a new beta driver for its graphics cards. According to its release notes, this new driver addresses the crashes that were spotted in games like Remember Me and Deadlight, improves performance in Metro Last Light Faction DLC, fixes Half-Life 2 framerate drops to single digits when Ambient Occlusion is enabled in SLI mode, and removes the black edges that were found in BF3 when MSAA 4x was enabled. Nvidia Showcases Cloud Based Indirect Lighting At Siggraph 2013

Siggraph 2013 is currently under way and Nvidia has showcased some impressive cloud techniques that it is currently working on. During its presentation, Nvidia showed some cloud based indirect lighting techniques that could be used in next-gen titles. Before jumping to early conclusions, this is not similar to what Xbox One and PS4 will be doing. Nvidia will be using its machines to boost the lighting effects, meaning that this technique will improve a game’s visuals. Or at least that’s what the green team aims to.
