Now this is bloody amazing. Obsidian’s Project Eternity has managed to surpass half of its Kickstarter goal in only six hours. Project Eternity’s goal is 1.1 million dollars and the amount that has been pledged is currently around 650K dollars. It’s safe to say that the game will be funded, and we’re pretty sure that this will happen this weekend. Our reader ‘Sid’ has informed us about a new, teaser website from Obsidian Entertainment. According to this site, a new game is under development by this talented studio. Yes yes, all of Obsidian’s games were buggy as hell but there is no doubt that this company can deliver good games, provided they get the time to polish them before release. A couple of days ago, KOTOR 2 was released on Steam. A lot of speculation arose and players began wondering whether or not Lucas Arts was heating things up for a KOTOR 3 announcement. Let’s not forget that a bundle of KOTOR 1 & 2 is also available, as it launched back on July 14th. And although we don’t know whether Lucas Arts has plans for a KOTOR 3, we do know that Obsidian Entertainment would love to work on such a game. Now this is precisely why we love mods and why developers should offer modding tools for their games. Obsidian’s Fallout: New Vegas is considered a gem and what Fallout 3 should be in the first place. Did you know however that the development team has cut content from the game and altered some areas in order to overcome the console hardware limitations? Of course and you didn’t, though you should expect it as Obsidian has also cut content from KOTOR 2. And as with KOTOR 2, a modder decided to restore the cut content in Fallout: New Vegas and introduce features that were originally meant to be included. It’s funny how the ENBSeries mods can – literally – transform a game. We’ve seen the amazing results of using such mods in GTA IV, we’ve seen them in Skyrim, and it’s time now for Fallout: New Vegas (and Fallout 3) to get overhauled. Boris Vorontsov, creator of all ENBSeries mods, has been working on the Fallout: New Vegas version of his ENBSeries mod, and modder ‘Anthemios‘ decided to experiment with the 0.115 FNV ENB beta version and post some Fallout 3 screenshots. The following shots are spectacular and it’s really hard to believe that this is actually Fallout 3. The modder has not shared yet his ENBSeries settings, so there is no point asking about them. Enjoy the screenshots! Continue reading Fallout 3 Never Looked This Good – New Screenshots With ENBSeries Mod→
Now that’s why we love modders. Zbyl2, DarthStoney, Hassat Hunter & VarsityPuppet released an amazing mod for Star Wars: KOTOR 2. The Sith Lords Restored Content Mod intents to restore much of the cut content to The Sith Lords, that was lost to the main game due to a rush to release the game. The modders restored plot elements, decisions, and dialogs. In other words, this is a must-have mod for all KOTOR fans. You can find a download link and the (huge) changelog after the jump. Enjoy!
