It’s been a while since our last look on this amazing indie action-adventure game. Wolfire Games has released a new trailer for Overgrowth, in which David Rosen showcases the changes that have been made to its latest alpha build. Overgrowth might feature an inventory system, as players can currently attach non-weapon gear (20 gear attachment slots were added to the game in this latest alpha build). In addition, David fixed a problem with enemies drawing non-weapon items when threatened. Overgrowth looks and plays great, though it has been in alpha stage for quite a while. Wolfire Games has revealed the changes that have been made to its action adventure brawler’s latest alpha version. This week, David Rosen added support for multiple mission objectives, mission objectives for visiting hotspots, must-visit hotspot, victory hotspot and a scriptable UI system separate from level script. Wolfire Games has released a new video for Overgrowth, in which the company’s main programmer, David Rosen, explains the changes that have been made to the latest alpha version of the game. This week, David added ten early prototype challenge levels, an initial challenge level selection menu and added LevelSet xml files, which list a whole set of challenge levels to display in selector. This week, David Rosen added a ‘case error’ alert and a ‘process pool’ toggle to config. Most of you won’t even bother with these features but let us tell you that they are really importan for developers and modders. Overgrowth looks great but we feel that the game has hit a wall or something, as there hasn’t been any major updates lately. This week, David added an animation for swapping weapons from one hand to the other, added same-side sheathing animation and hooked up the cat scabbard as a weapon.
