STRAFE, action-packed retro first-person shooter, releases on March 28th
Devolver and Pixel Titans announced today that their action-packed retro first person shooter, STRAFE, will be released on March 28th. In STRAFE, players simply grab a gun, teleport into a unique level set, and paint the walls red, with ÜBER-GORE technology that allows for ludicrously persistent gibs. STRAFE – Uber Retro Gore Tech 2.0 showcased in a new trailer
Devolver Digital has released a new trailer for STRAFE, showcasing its uber retro gore tech. STRAFE will feature blood streaks, blood drips, blood footsteps, blood impacts, sticky meat bits, stompable gibs, corpse flies, tint liquids and blood drips through grates. Pixel Titans and Devolver Digital have signed a publishing deal for the release of STRAFE in early 2017. According to the press release, Devolver was drawn to STRAFE’s roguelike elements, with randomly-generated levels, enemies, secrets and monster closets that promise infinite replayability with pure mayhem every time. In order to spark further interest for its retro gory action-packed FPS, STRAFE, Pixel Titans released the game’s pre-alpha build to everyone. STRAFE’s Kickstarter campaign ends in 66 hours and the team has not hit yet its initial goal of $185K (so far it has raised $134K). Absinthe Games Claims Receiving C&D Letter From STRAFE Developers, Pixel Titans Responds
I want to be very transparent with this article and to that end, what follows is alleged, we’ve reached out to Pixel Titans and Absinthe for this and both developer’s perspectives are included in this piece. With that out of the way, developer Absinthe maintains that they received a cease and desist from the developers behind Strafe (a game currently undergoing a kickstarter campaign), Pixel Titans. Absinthe were the developers of another game called Strafe, the issue is it seems Absinthe had announced their Strafe some time before Pixel Titans had announced theirs.
