Nvidia has released a new trailer for PlanetSide 2, showcasing the new PhysX effects that were introduced to it. These hardware-accelerated PhysX effects are said to increase the realism and fidelity of several game elements, adding to the spectacle and drawing players deeper into the action. Particle PhysX effects provide a more immersive experience for the game by adding particles that collide with the environment and litter the environment during battles. Sony Online Entertainment has announced that a new, massive, update for its PC exclusive F2P title, Planetside 2, will be released on January 31st. According to the development team, this patch will address a lot of issues that have been reported by its community, including low performance on low-end GPUs, XP enhancements and the inclusion of new spawn buildings with more exits.
