Project CARS Will Support Nvidia’s APEX Tech

Project CARS fans, get ready for some more news about your favourite racing game. Slightly Mad Studios’ Ian Bell recently revealed on NeoGAF that this next-gen racer will support Nvidia’s APEX tech. Although we don’t have more details about it – and don’t know whether this feature will be coming on next-gen consoles or will remain exclusive to the PC – we can only imagine what smoke and rain will look like when powered by it. Let’s hope that Nvidia and Slightly Mad Studios will reveal more in the coming weeks. Project CARS Abandons Current-Gen In Favor Of Next-Gen Platforms

Slightly Mad Studios announced today that crowd-powered, AAA racing title Project CARS will be coming to three further gaming platforms in 2014. Both Sony’s PlayStation 4 and Microsoft’s Xbox One consoles will see Project CARS racing onto them during 2014 as gaming enters the next generation with new benchmarks of graphical fidelity and technical power becoming possible and Project CARS aiming to set a new standard for virtual racing for motorsports and car fans around the world. Slightly Mad Studios announced yesterday the newest addition to Project CARS as McLaren Automotive joined the expanding list of manufacturers represented in the studio’s upcoming WMD-powered racing title. Therefore, YouTube’s member ‘Ozelot S’ has captured some new footage from Slightly Mad Studios’ racer, showcasing the Mclaren MP4-12C GT3 vehicle. Enjoy! YouTube’s member ‘ADRIANF1esp’ has posted an interesting comparison between Project CARS and F1 2013. As we already know, pCars looks fabulous. However, some gamers would have thought that a racing title dedicated to F1 would be more authentic than Slightly Mad Studios’ offering. Well, this doesn’t seem to be the case. Project CARS – Spectacular New Screenshots Released

Another week, another pCARS gallery. Slightly Mad Studios has released a new set of screenshots for its upcoming racer, and we are presenting you below the ones that caught our attention. As the team noted, all shots show purely in-game footage that has not been made in any special photo mode, using no post-processing or filters that aren’t available during the actual gameplay. pCARS developer: Mantle will offer 70-80% of next-gen console performance (regarding draw calls)

In around 20 days, AMD will reveal more details about its low-level API, Mantle, during its Developers Summit event. And it seems that it will be worth the wait, as a lot of developers are currently praising this new API. Among those developers is Project CARS engineer programmer, who claimed that Mantle will offer 70-80% of next-gen console performance in terms of submitting draw calls. Contrary to our previous galleries, this time around we decided to keep the images in their original resolution, giving you the ability to further drool all over your monitor while viewing them. As the team noted, these images show purely in-game footage that has not been made in any special photo mode, using no post-processing or filters that aren’t available during the actual gameplay. During Nvidia’s Montreal event – which is underway as we speak – the green team announced that Project CARS will support DX11 (okay, we already knew that), as well as Nvidia’s PhysX particles and Turbulence effects. Although the green team did not reveal any additional details about it, it was well known that Slightly Mad Studios was looking for ways to further enhance its racer’s tech.
