Slightly Mad Studios has released a new set of community screenshots for its gorgeous-looking racer, Project CARS. Our guess is that Slightly Mad Studios has added a new raindrops effects, otherwise we cannot explain why most member decided to capture the following images. Naturally, all shots show purely in-game footage that has not been made in any special photo mode with no post-processing or filters that aren’t available during the actual gameplay. Slightly Mad Studios has just released a new set of screenshots from a new vehicle that will most probably be available to the game’s testers this Friday. The 2009 model of Ford Focus RS will be featured in Project CARS, and the company was eager to show off how awesome this new car is. There is no denying that Project CARS looks outstanding. 2013 will definitely be the year of Project CARS. Even though Slightly Mad Studios’ racer is not – at the current state – as hardcore as rFactor 2 and Assetto Corsa, it looks miles better than those two afforementioned titles. Slightly Mad Studios seems to aim for a mix between arcade and sim – instead of a pure simulation experience. This may put off some purists but still, the game promises to be better than Shift 2 or all other previous attempts. Project CARS is planned for a late 2013 release on PC, WiiU, PS3 and X360. And even though we don’t know how it will look on consoles, we already know that it looks spectacular on the PC. Enjoy!
