The Outlast Trials is another game from developer Red Barrels, the developer behind the first two Outlast games. The first Outlast game did very good in the survival horror genre. The same cannot be said for the sequel. Now, The Outlast Trials is moving away from being single-player only, though it remains a first-person survival horror experience.

Outlast series has sold more than 15 million units
In an interview with GamesIndustry, Red Barrels’ CEO, Philippe Morin, has revealed that the Outlast series has now sold 15 million units in total. As Morin claimed, Red Barrels has earned $64 million in revenue from sales, or $45 million CAD after the distributors have taken their cut. While Outlast 2 was not up to what fans of the first game were hoping, it appears that it has sold well. Outlast 2 – First patch rebalances game difficulty, allows microphone to work without using extra batteries
Red Barrels has released the first patch for its horror title, Outlast 2. According to the release notes, this patch introduces some minor adjustments to the game’s difficulty in key areas and moments. This basically means that on Normal difficulty players will have a more appropriately balanced experience while still maintaining higher levels of challenge on Hard and Nightmare difficulties. Outlast 2 Official PC Requirements
Outlast 2 releases in a few days and its final PC requirements have been unveiled via the game’s official Steam store page. According to the PC specs, PC gamers will at least need a 64-bit operating system, a modern-day dual-core CPU, 4GB of RAM and an NVIDIA Geforce GTX 260 or an ATI Radeon HD 4870 graphics card.
