You know what? I really love Remedy. Okay okay, they pointed their gun on that fan-made movie (and I still believe that they shouldn’t) but they’ve done everything in their power to please PC gamers. Alan Wake PC was an incredible port, there was a significant post-launch support, Alan Wake: American Nightmare appeared on Steam’s registry meaning that the team is willing to bring this new Alan Wake game to the PC sooner than later and they made a great deal with GoG. If you haven’t purchased Alan Wake PC yet, here is your chance. Continue reading Alan Wake is now available on GoG and is priced at $14.99 until May 15th→
Zapruder Pictures created an amazing short film that is based on Remedy’s Max Payne. Written and directed by Guillermo Fernández de Oliveira and Javier Esteban Loring, Max Payne: Valhalla is the best tribute to this classic third person shooter game. It has noir-style monologues, graphic novel panels, follows the events of the game so closely… hell, it even has a reload sequence. Now that’s just brilliant. So sit back and enjoy Max Payne fans. You are in for a treat! Continue reading Max Payne: Valhalla is an awesomely awesome Fan Film→
Remember a while back, when we informed you about Alan Wake coming to the PC. The source of the initial leak was Steam’s registry and guess what, the same source shows that Alan Wake’s American Nightmare is coming really soon to our beloved platform. As we’ve said countless times, Steam’s registry rarely lies so this is a trustworthy source. You read that right, Alan Wake’s American Nightmare is coming to the PC. A couple of weeks ago, Remedy decided to give PC players something extra with their freshly released patch for Alan Wake and enabled a free camera mode for it. Naturally, a lot of PC gamers tried to enjoy this new feature and were met with an awkward requirement. In order to use this mode, players had to use a gamepad. As you’d expect, some of them went ahead and complained to Remedy about it, and today the company felt the need to explain why this mode requires a gamepad. Remedy has released a hotfix patch for the PC version of Alan Wake. This hotfix fixes some crashes that occurred with Alt-Tab in SLI configurations, the saving of assigned keys so that both Numlock on/off states work and can be defined separately, as well as command line handling so that invalid input does not cause the game to enter unresponsive state. As always, the update will be auto-downloaded next time you start the Steam client and you can view its changelog below. I’m really shocked with Remedy’s stance at an upcoming fan-made movie that will be based on Alan Wake. The team behind it is called ‘DDCN Production 2011’ and posted on Remedy’s forum a supposedly location backstage teaser for their movie. Now let’s get one thing straight here; those fans are really low on budget and they don’t obviously possess the means to make a Hollywood movie. This is understandable and we can also see the reason behind ‘borrowing’ some material from various documentaries. This is a bloody non-profit movie guys. Let us say it again; this is a fan-made, non-profit film. Continue reading Remedy point their gun at a fan-made upcoming Alan Wake movie→
