YouTube’s ‘MrBZork’ has posted the third developer commentary for the fan-made remake of Resident Evil 1.5. Resident Evil 1.5 is being made by a team of hackers who obtained an incomplete build of the legendary scrapped version of Resident Evil 2, and are working to finish it. A couple of months ago, the team released an early version of it. There is no ETA yet about a more polished version, but it’s good to see the team still working on it. Modder Doomero has informed us about the release of the Doom The Mercenaries’ Zandronum Version (as expected, this version is compatible with Zandronum 1.0/SkulltagG98D). This is basically a mod for Doom that features characters from Resident Evil 4 and changes the perspective from first-person to third-person. Players can choose Leon Kennedy, Hunk, Ada Wong, Jack Krauser and Albert Wesker. This mod supports both SP and Co-Op modes, and can be downloaded from the here. Last week, we informed you about an early version of Resident Evil 1.5. Well, good news is that the team has not received yet any C&D letter from Capcom. What really surprised us, though, was the dedication of this team in this project and the fact that they’re experimenting with some ‘modern’ ideas. As a result of that experimentation, Resident Evil 1.5 might feature a third-person camera viewpoint, similar to the one of all recent Resident Evil games. Lots of news today for our Doom 3 fans. Modder marklegg is creating a Resident Evil mod for id’s FPS title that is based on Capcom’s survival game, Resident Evil. This project started as a simple map but marklegg felt the need to add various things and features, and thus ResiMod came to fruition. This mod is still in its early days and the modder decided to release a video to showcase his map. Sikkmod v1.2 will be a requirement for various aspects of the gameplay and visuals, and the modder is looking for any contribution that can be offered in terms of ideas, models, codes. Enjoy! Capcom has released the debut trailer of its CG Resident Evil movie, Resident Evil: Damnation. Leon S. Kennedy sneaks into a small Eastern Europe country to verify rumors that Bio Organic Weapons (B.O.W.s) are being used in war. Resident Evil: First Hour is a re-imagined prequel to Resident Evil 2, and follows Leon Kennedy as he and two other police officers find themselves trapped on a farm outside Raccoon City, fighting for their lives against an undead horde. In this third episode, Leon and Richard try to work out what is going on at the farm, as Philip’s condition slowly worsens (having been bitten by a zombie).
