Grand Theft Auto V’s Release Date Further Proves That Analysts Are Not Needed In Gaming Industry

As we’ve said in the past, we strongly believe that analysts should simply stop spreading rumors (and gaming sites should stop paying attention to them). You see, most of the times those analysts are speculating without any hard evidence, something that… well… pretty much everyone can do. So why in the world would someone take an analyst’s word over something, when most of them have failed to deliver? Ironic, isn’t it? What’s even more ironic is that this article is based on those analysts (and some of you could say “Hey dude, why do you bother if you believe that they don’t deserve our attention?“). Well the answer is simple; because we love the truth and because time is the greatest judge of all. Oh, and to prove our claim that analysts are not needed in the gaming industry. Rockstar talks about the PC version of GTA V, threatens to suspend its users’ commenting privileges

A couple of hours ago, Rockstar announced that GTA V would launch on Spring 2013 for PS3 and X360. Since there wasn’t any mention about a possible PC version, a lot of Rockstar fans decided to express their feelings on the comment section of the game’s announcement page. What followed then reminded us why the whole gaming industry is going straight to hell. Grand Theft Auto V – Release Date Hinted, PC Version Most Probably Delayed

GTA fans, we’ve got some good and some bad news for you today. The good news first; Grand Theft Auto V will come out next year, in Spring 2013, as this release window was hinted by some new artworks that got leaked. The bad news; PC icon was not included in this artwork, suggesting the usual ‘Rockstar delay’ between the console and the PC versions. You can view the artworks below – courtesy of GTA-FIVE.PL – and here is hoping that Rockstar will reveal more information about the release window of GTA V and the fate of the PC version in the following days/weeks. Grand Theft Auto IV – Mod Spotlight – Toy Story’s Buzz Comes To Liberty City

Now this is brilliant. Our reader ‘Jonathan Gustafsson’ has informed us about a new mod that replaces Niko with Toy Story’s Buzz. Jonathan has mixed this one with the ghost rider mod, and the end result is quite amusing. Naturally, you can view a video from this mod below, so waste no time. Hit the jump and watch it. Now. You won’t regret it. Or will you? But then again, we didn’t so you probably won’t. Right? Continue reading Grand Theft Auto IV – Mod Spotlight – Toy Story’s Buzz Comes To Liberty City

Melodrama – Rich Stanton accuses Edge for altering scores, PC Gamer for lying, and CVG for misquotes

Before starting this article, let me tell you that I’m not taking anyone sides on this story. Okay? We got this out of our way? So, let’s begin. Freelance writer Rich Stanton has accused a lot of Future Publishing portals, as well as a number of publishers for ‘paying’ in order to get better scores. We all remember the Gamespot Kane & Lynch fiasco, so this is not surprising to hear. But do publishers and big gaming portals alter their review scores, even to this date? According to Rich, they do. Mafia comes to the RAGE Engine with this GTA IV Mod

Ah, Mafia. Such an amazing game. It’s sad that its sequel was not as good as we’d hoped to. In fact, Mafia 2 was one of the first games that had a really, really horrible ending. Our guess is that the develepoment team wanted to push some SP DLC stories after the game’s release in order to keep gamers interested in it (and milk their game for as long as they could). It didn’t work out for them though. But anyway, back to Mafia. Our reader ‘Jonathan Gustafsson’ has captured some footage from a mod that converts Mafia 1 to the RAGE Engine. Cancelled GTAIV Project Shows What GTA2 Would Look Like In RAGE Engine

Our reader Jonathan Gustafsson has sent us a interesting video from – what seems to be – a cancelled GTA IV project. This project attempted to port GTA2 into GTA IV’s game engine, the RAGE Engine, and looks cute and sexy. It also gives us a glipse at what a proper, top-down isometric, GTA game with high-resolution textures and assets would look like in a modern-day engine. Man, now that would be something worth waiting for. This project was started by modder ‘garju’ and its video demonstration was uploaded by YouTube’s member ‘taltigolt.’ Enjoy! Rockstar’s Multiplayer Events Suggest That ‘Red Dead Redemption’ Is Coming To The PC

Okay, this is too good to be true and we’re pretty sure that there is a huge mistake. But hey, imagine if this is actually true. According to Rockstar’s upcoming event list, a Multiplayer Event for Red Dead Redemption: Game Of The Year Edition will be held on September 13th. The weird thing here is that Game For Windows Live is listed alongside Xbox LIVE. This obviously does not mean that Red Dead Redemption is coming to the PC on September 13th, however an announcement could be imminent. Now this could very well be a mistake from Rockstar themselves, so don’t get your hopes up and take it with a grain of salt. You can view below a screenshot from that event. Special thanks to NeoGAF member ‘MrOogieBoogie’ for spotting it! Continue reading Rockstar’s Multiplayer Events Suggest That ‘Red Dead Redemption’ Is Coming To The PC

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas – Multiplayer Theft Auto Mod 1.3.1 Released

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas is considered one of the best part of the GTA series. And although it didn’t have any Multiplayer capabilities, a team of modders decided to overhaul Rockstar’s classic game. Multi Theft Auto (MTA) is an open-source software project that adds full on-line gaming support to Rockstar North’s Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas PC game. It is the first open-source modification that adds a highly customizable network play element to a commercial closed-source single-player PC game. Max Payne 3 – Epic Fail In Real Life – Amazing Live Action Film

Now this is simply great. ThereIsaCanal has created an incredible Max Payne 3 live action short film. This is basically a parody for Rockstar’s third-person shooter and – ironically – captures perfectly the game’s mood and tone. The highlight of the film is the cut-scenes that are almost identical to those of Max Payne 3. Oh, and Fabiana looks sexier than ever. Enjoy!
