I’m pretty sure that by now, most of you are already aware about the lawsuit against SEGA and Gearbox for the early gameplay trailers and footages of Aliens: Colonial Marines. According to the lawsuit and as described by Polygon, SEGA and Gearbox ‘falsely advertised Aliens by showing demos at trade shows like PAX and E3 which didn’t end up being accurate representations of the final product‘ and that ‘by sending out review code to the press under an embargo that lifted in the early morning of Aliens: Colonial Marines’ launch date of Feb. 12, the game’s pre-orderers and early adopters would have no knowledge of the discrepancies between the demo and final game‘. SEGA has released a new trailer for Creative Assembly’s upcoming strategy game, Total War: Rome II, showcasing the Battle of Teutobug Forest. Total War: Rome II promises to sink players into the dangerous political machinations of Rome’s senate, while asking them to struggle with family dilemmas and question the loyalty of ‘friends’ and allies. SEGA in collaboration with Disney Interactive today announced the upcoming digital release of Castle of Illusion featuring Mickey Mouse, a complete re-imagining of the iconic Mega Drive/Genesis side-scrolling adventure first released in 1990. SEGA today announced that the closed beta phase for those who pre-ordered Company of Heroes 2, the eagerly anticipated strategy game from Relic Entertainment, is now live. The closed beta playtest features the game’s critically acclaimed competitive multiplayer and skirmish gameplay, giving players access to six maps, 1v1, 2v2, 3v3 and 4v4 competitive gameplay, as well as the ability to play alone or with teammates against the AI. Man, GDC 2013 keeps delivering. SEGA announced today that Company of Heroes 2, the eagerly anticipated strategy game from Relic, will be running an exclusive, early access beta phase which will go live Tuesday 2nd April. Company of Heroes 2’s beta will be hosted on Steam and will take advantage of Steamworks’ various features (such as match-making and friend list). Now that’s more like it. Gearbox unveiled today that a new update for the PC version of Aliens: Colonial Marines is now available and that it weights around 4GB in size. Yeap, you read that right. 4GB in size and is available as we speak. Gearbox has also released the changelog of this huge update, revealing that the enemy and friendly AI has been tweaked in order to be more aggressive and responsive. Hell bloody yeah. You can view the complete changelog below, so go ahead and take a look. The only downside is that Gearbox introduced a film grain filter that cannot be disabled.
